Our Team
The Support Brigade is a service organization that offers a variety of programs, service and events for active service men and women for military operations following the events of September 11, 2001. It operates as a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization with a mission to prepare and empower active servicemen of the United States Armed Forces beyond the scope of military training, as well as provide services and programs for the family members of its registered soldiers.
We spend an average of less than 3% on overhead. It means more of your money goes directly to where it is needed. We demonstrate ethical practice and share data about our performance. We manage towards the results of our charitable activities and the services that we provide. We have honest conversations about what it takes to do our work and add value to the lives of our soldiers.
Services
Military life can obviously be stressful on personnel. It can also be stressful on their families. We help families cope with typical challenges as well as ones unique to the military. They must endure long separations from loved ones and exception emotional circumstances. So must their families.
We connect those who serve and their family members to the care and support they need. We fund counseling services to individuals who are about to deploy, crisis intervention for those who have undergone a traumatic experience, benefit assistance, and mental health therapy for conditions such as depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and drug and alcohol addiction. We lead workshops on a variety of topics, such as transitioning from deployment to everyday life, financial education and planning, and career development. We ensure continuity of care through admission, evaluation, treatment, and follow-up processes.
